“Le Casette” was born in 2006 thanks to Nicola and Simone Fedeli.
The passion for land, nature, genuine products as well as the firm determination to run the risk of investing on a scarcely appreciated and often marginalized area turned out to be the real incentives to start a business based on the direct sales of products.
Even though the farm is quite young, its vinicultural roots are far more ingrained: the Fedeli family have been working their land nearby Rotella for several generations; they had an experience in the world of oenology as early as the 1950s, when they bought a share in a winery, but they abandoned it a couple of decades later.
The traditions of the wine industry have not been lost over the years; as a matter of fact, vineyards, which have always been present among the farm cultivations, have continued to play a fundamental role for the last generations.
Present and future
Simone, the youngest in the family, has decided to devote himself entirely to the farm, combining his vocation for the primary sector with his educational choices: after the secondary school diploma of winemaking technician, obtained at Istituto Tecnico Agrario of Ascoli Piceno in 2002, he graduated in viticulture and oenology at the University of Perugia in 2006.
The far-sightedness and prudence of Nicola, who runs the business thanks to his experience gained in the industrial and agricultural field, together with the technical skills of Simone, who takes care of production, represent the right combination to allow the farm to increase the number of its customers year by year.
